Your domain, without your name on it
Most people never think about it, but the moment you register a domain your name, your address and your email land in WHOIS — a public database anyone can query. One command is all it takes. For some people that doesn’t matter at all. For others it’s anything from mildly annoying (spam, cold callers who found your address) to genuinely a problem.
You can avoid it. Together with PRQ we handle anonymous domain registration where your details stay hidden the whole way — the thing usually called WHOIS privacy. PRQ has been doing privacy and free speech online longer than just about any other Swedish provider, and they’re who we lean on for the registration itself.
We’ll take pretty much any top-level domain anonymously — .com, .net, .org, .io and the rest. But the one we actually recommend is .ST: short, easy to make wordplay out of (ju.st, te.st, ho.st) and just 375 SEK a year, WHOIS privacy included.
| Regular registration | Via PRQ & No-Ack | |
|---|---|---|
| WHOIS details | Public (name, address, email) | Hidden |
| Anonymity | No | Yes |
| Payment | Usually card only | Card, crypto or PayPal |
| Jurisdiction | Varies | Swedish |
| Price with privacy | Add-on on top | 375 SEK/yr, included (.ST) |
How it works
No fuss. You register your .ST domain via PRQ’s portal — select Domains Anonymous, and your details are hidden right away — and pay by card, Bitcoin, Monero or PayPal. Then it’s yours, in practice immediately.
If you want to keep the whole chain private and not just the domain, pair it with an anonymous VPS — full root, and you can pay in Monero with no KYC. Put our VPN on top of that and it gets hard to tie anything back to you at all. If you just need somewhere to park a site and a bit of email, web hosting over at fxs.se does the job just as well.
Who actually cares about this?
Not everyone, and that’s fine. But for a journalist or a whistleblower, hidden WHOIS details can be the difference between being able to publish and not. Companies use it so they don’t accidentally leak an upcoming project through a simple domain lookup. And plenty of ordinary people just don’t want their home address printed next to their hobby project. Seems reasonable to us.
What we won’t register
Our work with PRQ rests on a basic sense of decency, and that’s where a few hard lines are drawn. We register no domains meant for child sexual abuse material, bestiality or spam — zero tolerance, no exceptions, no discussion. And top-level domains other than .ST may not be used for pharmacy or medicine services. A domain that breaks these rules comes down.
Not sure whether your project fits inside the rules? Get in touch first and we’ll sort it out before you register.
Common questions
What does it cost? 375 SEK a year for a .ST, and the WHOIS privacy is part of that. A lot of registrars charge extra for the privacy bit — with us it’s baked into the price.
Is it even legal to hide your WHOIS details? Yes. WHOIS privacy is an ordinary privacy service and sits fine with GDPR. The domain is registered properly, your personal details just don’t show up publicly.
Which domains work? Most of them — .com, .net, .org, .io and so on. .ST is the one we recommend and price lowest.
Can I pay without leaving a trail? Bitcoin and Monero work well, as do card and PayPal. Pick whatever you’re comfortable with.

About PRQ
PRQ is a Swedish hosting provider in Stockholm that’s been more or less synonymous with online privacy and free speech for decades. The principle is simple: if it’s legal in Sweden they host it, and they keep it up regardless of pressure. They run their own multihomed network (AS33837) built to take serious DDoS attacks, and they have a reputation for genuinely protecting their customers’ anonymity. The team has over 30 years of combined experience behind it. (Worth noting: zero tolerance for abuse material, spam and the like.)
About us — No-Ack Hosting
Behind No-Ack Hosting is No Ack Infrastruktur AB, a Swedish company registered in Gothenburg with the hosting in Stockholm. It’s run by Mikael Krantz, who’s been in the business since the 90s — the road went through Telia, DCS and Bahnhof, among others, before going independent. So it’s built by people who’ve worked on Swedish internet infrastructure for decades, not a reseller layer bolted on after the fact. We do anonymous VPS (KVM from 70 SEK/month), web hosting under our fxs.se brand, dedicated servers, colocation, Anycast DNS with 20+ nodes worldwide, VPN and network services (BGP, IPv6, our own AS30893 as a RIPE LIR). All of it runs in a Swedish data center on a redundant 2×100 Gbps network. You can pay in Bitcoin or Monero, daily backups are included, and support answers in Swedish.
